Watch The River by Noel Gourdin Music Video Online…
Noel Gourdin just posted on his MySpace blog a message to check out this new video for The River…
Nice.
And there’s a river in it.
Noel Gourdin can really, really sing.
I mean blow straight from his soul. Unlike some studio singer’s whose voices are morphed or drowned out by lots of sampling and such, Noel Gourdin doesn’t need any of that!
You can tell from that opening of Noel singing unaccompanied at the beginning of The River music video.

I first heard “The River” about a month ago and I’ve been searching for it since. I heard it again on Monday, June 23, 2008 on WTLC in Indianapolis where I live. I wrote down the name of Noel Gordon as they anounced the artist. I beagn my search again and found it after realizing that I had the spelling Gourdin, wrong.
I listened to ” The River” several times and sat my wife down to hear it. I told her that it reminded me of her father, who pasted away in 1997. He was a very christian and peaceful man. The lyrics referring to baptism really struck me. The grove , vocals and lyrics are awesome!!
I ‘m predicting that this song will be a hit. I’m a former disc jockey and I ‘d say back in the day “my pick to click”. I wish Noel all the best and thanks for “The River”.

I first heard this guy on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I believe this was the first time it was aired. If so, Steve has made this guy very popular.
I’m originally from Alabama and it reminded me old Baptism’s by the river.
This is a dynamic song!!!! It has that “old school” flava. I only wish the video was related to the actual lyrics of the song. Again, the song is “DYNAMIC”!!!

…this song is outstanding! I too had been searching for it and the last name spelling threw me off as well. I agree that the video concept does not go with the lyrics.
This song takes a lot of people “way back” and touches the soul. It almost sounds like Al
Green was singing. What if they did a remake together and actually had video that went with the lyrics….possibilities to go multi-platinum. Thanks for taking us back Noel!

I’ve heard this song on Stevie Wonders L.A. R&B radiofree station KJLH 102.3 about 2 months ago which quickly was moved into the playlist by the program director for all programs thoughout the day and evening. Simply the best example of classic r&b music. Just wish other stations weren’t as tight with there playlists. This is what our youth need to listen too far more than the lyrical crap/posion rap puts out.YOU COULD GET A SPEEDING TICKET OR RUN A LIGHT/STOP SIGN LISTEN TO THIS TRACK, Wish the young brotha much success!!!
